About Dr. Adigweme

Ugo Adigweme, DPM, is a double board qualified foot and ankle surgeon specializing in all aspects of podiatric medicine and foot and ankle surgery. At CFP Physicians Group in Casselberry, Florida, Dr. Adigweme enjoys working with patients of all ages to improve their ambulation and restore their quality of life.

Dr. Adigweme grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and pursued his undergraduate education at the University of South Florida (USF). He earned his master’s degree in molecular medicine from the Morsani College of Medicine at USF before attending the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. 

Following medical school, Dr. Adigweme completed a residency in podiatric medicine and surgery with a focus on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Westchester General Hospital in Miami. There, he developed an interest in trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, and was selected as chief resident. He pursued an additional fellowship-training year in adult reconstructive surgery at the Orthopedic Center of Florida in Fort Myers.

Dr. Adigweme has participated in multiple mission trips with the YDA Foundation and Believers Women’s Ministries, providing surgical and medical help to rural communities in Haiti. He also participated in the Yucatan Crippled Children's Project in Mexico with Dr. Charles Southerland, where they performed deformity correction surgeries on uninsured children. 

He is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, and American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Adigweme has authored numerous journal articles and textbook chapters on foot and ankle surgery and participated in scientific research symposiums. He remains active in research as well as educating and mentoring students and residents throughout his career.

Dr. Adigweme has a sister who is an internal medicine doctor in Atlanta and a twin brother who is an orthopedic surgeon in the Orlando area. He enjoys running, working out, playing basketball, listening to music, watching the NBA and Jacksonville Jaguars, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
